City manager Jim Weir has moved into the transfer market to sign young Hibs players Scott Smith and David Crawford.
Smith, 19, captained the Hibernian under-19s during the 2010/2011 Clydesdale Bank U19 League season and scored six goals.
Primarily a left back, Boroughmuir-educated Smith can also operate as either a central defender or holding midfielder.
Crawford was promoted to the Hibs first-team squad after a series of eye-catching performances for the U19 squad in the 2010/11 season.
Named the Clydesdale Bank U19 Rising Star in January 2011, Crawford spent the remainder of that season on loan at Ayr United.
The talented youngster made his first-team debut - coming on as a substitute against Celtic - in the opening game of 2011/12 Clydesdale Bank SPL season.
Both players have signed on loan until the beginning of January next year and will go straight into the squad for tomorrow's game against Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill.
