BRECHIN City are delighted to announce the signing of 24 year-old Gary Twigg, a striker who is making his first move into part-time football, after turning senior with Derby County as a youngster.
Gary has, more recently, played for Hamilton Accies and Airdrie United. He has however had experience in the Championship with Derby County and in the Conference, when well known veteran manager, Jim Smith, signed him for a second time at Oxford United.
Gary also had loan spells with Bristol Rovers and Nigel Clough's Burton Albion and while with Derby had the opportunity to play with Fabrizio Ravanelli.
Gary has enrolled in a full-time college course and speaking of his signing Michael O'Neill said: "I am delighted to secure a player of Gary's quality. He has a great pedigree in the game and is the right age for us.
"Our supporters will probably remember his performances against us, notably for Airdrie in the play-offs and last year for Hamilton in the Scottish Cup.
"I think we have secured a player with a lot to offer and one in which there was a great deal of interest in from elsewhere."
