Hill Signs In for a Month

City manager Jim Weir has moved quickly to add defensive cover to the squad with the loan signing for one month of Dougie Hill from Raith Rovers.
" With Gerry McGlauchlan out at the moment and Ewan Moyes nursing an ankle injury, I felt that it was imperative that we added a defender to the squad," said Jim.
" I'm delighted to obtain Dougie's services as he will provide vital cover in a crucial area of the team and he can go straight into the squad for tomorrow as he's not been cup-tied with Raith."
Looking ahead to the game, the manager hopes that his players can keep their good run of form going against the Doohamers but he is fully aware of how difficult the challenge will be.
" We've scored ten goals in our last two games and the lads have been playing well but we know that we'll have to be at our best tomorrow if we want to stay in the cup."
" Queen of the South are in the First Division, they are a full-time team and they have a good home record and if my players don't perform to their capabilities then we'll be in for a very difficult afternoon."
" However, it will suit us to go into the game as underdogs. All the pressure will be on Queens as they're expected to win but we're not going there simply to make up the numbers."
" We'll be trying our very best to win the game and the players know that nothing less than 100% effort and application will be required if we're to achieve that."
The manager confirmed that there are no fresh injuries from Tuesday's victory at Annan and the only change will be the addition of Hill to the squad.
