Known as 'Boomer', the 21 left sided full back was last with National Premier League Western outfit Stirling Lions in Australia.

Clydebank-born McLaughlin started his career at Dundee United before joining Ross County in 2015. During his time at Victoria Park, he spent a successful loan spell at Forfar Athletic where he helped the Loons gain promotion to League One via the playoffs.

After leaving the Staggies, he signed for Dumbarton and was a regular in the side which finished above City in the Championship in 2017/18, scooping the Sons' Young Player of the Year award in the process before making the move down under.
