Match Preview | Forres Mechanics v Brechin City - By Steven Mew

City are Mosset Park bound tomorrow afternoon as they look to continue their unbeaten start to the Highland League season against Forres Mechanics.

City will be hoping their visit to Forres will be more fruitful than the corresponding fixture last season, as City were held to a 1-1 draw after going ahead midway through the second half. The result proved to be a crushing blow in our pursuit of the Highland League title.

TEAM NEWS
City will welcome back Seth Patrick from suspension, whilst top-scorer Dayle Robertson will also be back in the squad after missing the last two matches due to a pre-booked family holiday. This means Patrick Cregg is likely to have a full squad to choose from for tomorrow's match.

MANAGERS COMMENTS
Speaking on the 2-2 draw over Brora Rangers last weekend, Manager Patrick Cregg commented, "I thought the lads gave everything for us - at times I thought we played well but others we could have been a bit cleaner in our play. In terms of effort I can't ask for any more. I'm just disappointed we gave away two goals after taking the lead twice but they'll feel they deserved the goals as well. A draw was probably a fair result overall - we certainly didn't deserve to lose it anyway.

"We try to win every game but the positive is that we are still unbeaten and in the box-seat. Brora probably couldn't afford to lose the game. Our objective now is to get back on a sequence of wins."

Michael Hunter made his debut for the Club after signing on loan from Dundee with the Manager adding, "It was his first senior game and it was a tough game for him to come into. He's got a good mentality and had some good play, but a couple of sloppy moments as well which is natural as every player is going to make mistakes on the field. We're really happy with him - he's got a lot of good attributes and he'll only grow from that. He'll be a good signing for us."
