Brechin stayed on course for the play-offs with a narrow win over Stranraer.

The home side should have scored after 55 minutes when Stephen Ettien shot wide, then a minute later Craig Nelson saved from Stranraer's Martin McBride.

In 63 minutes Rory McAllister beat two opponents on a mazy run into the box and slotted the ball home for Brechin.

Stranraer kept battling right to the end and almost snatched an equaliser two minutes from time when a low drive from McBride was again saved by Nelson.
