A goal in each half from striker Charlie King was enough to give Brechin a fine 2-0 victory at Glebe Park.

The home side took the lead on the half hour when King curled home a magnificent free-kick from 25 yards.

Brechin did stretch their lead in the 60th minute when McAllister headed the ball on for King to surge through the middle and slot home a cool finish.

Queen's Park came close deep into injury time, however substitute James Brough headed against the crossbar.
