Brechin City 1 Stranraer 1

Match Report - By John Hoey

Brechin City and Stranraer shared the spoils in an entertaining game at Glebe Park this afternoon.

City went in at the interval one goal up thanks to an Alan Trouten penalty after 37 minutes, but the Blues fought back to equalise with a superb Mark Corcorran free-kick nine minutes into the second-half.

Play then swung from end to end, but City created and missed a number of good goal-scoring opportunities over the course of the ninety minutes and if they had taken just half of the chances they created then they would have ran out comfortable winners.
