Brechin City wish to extend a great big thank you to the 984 fans that made the trip to Perth for last nights Scottish Cup quarter final replay.

Your presence contributed greatly to another great night for the Club.

The manager and players greatly appreciated the backing and vocal support.

Chairman Ken Ferguson said ' We were surprised and delighted to see such a large away support at the game last night. We had hoped that our fans would occupy the stand behind the goal but this was not be. The backing provided by the fans encouraged the players on and of course the demonstration of support for the team was broadcast nationwide on Sky, showing the Club in a postive light.
We hope that the fans saw enough to encourage more attendances at the remaining home games this season. We may yet experience a cup knockout experience again this season should we end up the the play off finals, so it's still all to play for with many more exciting games ahead. If half of the crowds we have had in the cup games continue to come to the remaining home fixtures the benefits could greatly strengthen the Club for the challenges that lie ahead."
