Manager Jim Weir organised a closed door friendly at Glebe Park last night with Cove Rangers FC providing the opposition. Jim took the opportunity to field a couple of trialists in an entertaining 7-4 victory for the City with former Brechin City players Roddy Black and Martin Johnstone playing for Cove.

Gary Fusco got the perfect hat trick with goals from both feet and a header, the other Brechin goalscorers were two from David Crawford and one each from David McKenna and Jim Lister.

With the squad missing out on competitive action this Saturday because of the Scotland game another closed doors game is planned for next Tuesday night.
