Pre-season Friendlies Confirmed
- By
Steven Mew
Before the pre-season friendlies, Brechin will make a journey south to Newcastle where the team will put in a number of training sessions, although it is doubtful they will play any matches. The trip will take place in a fortnight's time, from Friday, July 8th to Sunday, July 10th.
Just two days later, the club will play their first pre-season friendly against Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park. This will be followed with a derby match at home against Forfar Athletic. The pick of the bunch will most definitely be against Partick Thistle at Glebe Park, with Dick Campbell returning to the Glebe Park dugout, and also going head to head with his brother Ian. Brechin will also face local rivals Arbroath and newly promoted Peterhead. Supporters are reminded that the planned friendly against Raith Rovers will not go ahead.
The full pre-season schedule is as follows :
Tuesday, July 12: Dunfermline (a)
Thursday, July 14: Forfar Athletic (h)
Saturday, July 16: Partick Thistle (h)
Tuesday, July 19: Arbroath (h)
Sunday, July 24: Peterhead (h)
