MATCH PREVIEW
City play the first of four consecutive Tuesday night fixtures when they play host to near neighbours Arbroath at the Glebe tomorrow night. The home team will be determined to bounce back from Saturday’s home draw against Airdrie United with a win against the Lichties but they’ll enter the game without long-term casualty Derek Carcary plus the injured Gerry McGlauchlan and Charlie King while Craig Molloy is suspended after his ordering-off against the Diamonds. Manager Jim Weir won’t name his starting line-up until nearer kick-off time but Gary Fusco would appear to be the likely candidate to fill Molloy’s central midfield role.
Arbroath, who enter the game on the back of three consecutive league victories have an injury doubt over Australian defender Beau Busch but everyone else will be available.
The sides have met twice already this season with the Lichties drawing first blood on 24th September at the Glebe when a late winner from Swankie wrapped up the points but City won a hard-earned point at Gayfield at the beginning of December when a 90th minute goal from Paul McManus earned them a share of the spoils.
