MATCH PREVIEW

Brechin City and Stenhousemuir will enter this game each on the back of a weekend victory. Brechin won a five-goal thriller against Stirling Albion at the Doubletree Dunblane Stadium on Saturday past while the Warriors ran out emphatic 3-0 winners at Excelsior Stadium against Airdrie United.

City have a good record so far this season against Davie Irons men, winning the opening league encounter by 2-1 and drawing 1-1 at Ochielview, and a victory tomorrow night, would edge them to within a couple points of their opponents.

Craig Nelson failed a fitness test just prior to the game against Stirling after sustaining an injury at training on Thursday night and it looks like being another late decision as to whether or not he’ll be fit enough to take his place between the sticks. It’s a similar story with club captain Charlie King who managed to put in a training session on Saturday. Derek Carcary is obviously out long-term and Gerry McGlauchlan has still not recovered from the knee injury which has been plaguing him for the last few weeks. Everyone else appears to have come through Saturday’s game unscathed and will be fit for selection if required.
