MATCH PREVIEW

City will be hoping to bounce right back from Saturday’s injury-time defeat at Central Park and they could possibly move up to fourth place in the Second Division table if they beat the Binos and Stenny and East Fife both lose away from home at Forfar and Dumbarton respectively. However, that’s all ifs and buts and no-one at the Glebe will be thinking that far ahead.

The main priority for manager Jim Weir is to field a team capable of winning the match and he has multiple problems in terms of selection. Paul McLean who came off early in the second-half at Central Park suffered some internal bleeding with the injury he sustained and is definitely out. Derek Carcary, David McClune, Ewan Moyes and Gerry McGlauchlan will all miss out again, but there is a slight chance that club captain Charlie King may be fit enough to play. Connor Gray the under 19 midfielder was drafted into the squad on Saturday and the chances are that he will be asked to go on the bench again along with possibly another under 19 player.

The Binos will be without top scorer Scott Davidson after his sending-off in Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Dumbarton.

This will be the Binos first visit to Glebe Park this season, the two previous games between the sides taking place at the Doubletree Dunblane Stadium with the score-line standing at one win each. Stirling won the first encounter by 1-0 with Darren Smith scoring the only goal way back on 1st October while City edged out their opponents by 3-2 just a couple of weeks ago.

Mark Ferry and Paul McLean (og) were the Stirling scorers that afternoon with Ferry (og), Bryan Hodge and Rory McKenzie on the mark for City.
