Irn Bru Bus Coming to Town
The IRN-BRU bus is on its way to Brechin! The bus will be visiting Glebe Park this coming Saturday, the day of Brechin City’s final scheduled home league match of the season v. 2nd Division Champions, Cowdenbeath FC. IRN-BRU, official sponsors of The Scottish Football League is investing £70,000 to help fund the future development of Scottish football. The “Cans for Youth Teams” promotion will see each of the 30 clubs in the Scottish Football League earn a share of £70,000 – the more IRN-BRU cans The Club can collect, the larger the share Brechin City will receive.
Speaking on behalf of The Club’s Management Committee, Grant Hood said, “It’s another opportunity to have some fun with new games and giveaways from IRN-BRU. We would ask that all City supporters do their bit as, although we are one of the smallest population centres to compete, it’s entirely appropriate that we remain respectful to the league sponsors. Most supporters would doubtless agree that Irn Bru has proven to be one of the most pro-active and innovative sponsors of the SFL , and as a Club we like to participate as fully as we can with their promotions.”
There is a top prize of £10,000 up for grabs in each division, and you can pitch in by collecting as many IRN-BRU cans as you can! Cans for Youth Teams collection bins will be placed around the club, local stores and some local venues. Simply drop in your used cans of IRN-BRU before the cut off date of May 5th 2012.
Drop-Off Boxes are located at these establishments around the town – as well as at Glebe Park.
