Manager's Three Peaks Challenge

Manager Jim Weir and assistant Manager Kevin McGowan completed the arduous three peaks challenge over a 24 hour period. The Brechin City coaches accompanied by former Brechin City player Ally Mitchell, former St Mirren stars Mark Reilly and Andy Millen completed 26 mile task in aid of charity over the weekend.
The challenge is an event in which participants attempt to climb the highest mountains of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. Walkers climb each peak in turn, and are driven from the foot of one mountain to the next. The three peaks are: Ben Nevis in Scotland, 1,344 metres, Scafell Pike in England, 978 metres & Snowdon in Wales 1,085 metres. The total distance walked is 26 miles with a total ascent of 3,000 metres
Kevin had this to stay before setting off on the challenge;
"My friend Mark Reilly has a daughter Dionne who is 3 and has rett syndrome which is a neurodevelopmental disorder,and to raise funds for retts a group of his friends on 2nd June 2012 are doing the 3 peaks challenge which involves climbing 3 mountains in 24 hours, starting off with Ben Nevis in Scotland then onto Scafell Pike in England then finally to Mount Snowdon in Wales.any donations of any amount would be gratefully received for this worthwhile cause.
