BRECHIN CITY – QUEEN OF THE SOUTH PREVIEW
City boss Jim Weir will have to do without the services of midfielders Craig Molloy and Ryan Stewart for the visit of Queen of the South to the Glebe tomorrow and if that wasn’t enough, the manager is anxiously waiting to see if centre-back Gerry McGlauchlan will be fit to play against his former club.
All three players picked up their injuries in last Saturday’s derby at Forfar, and their absences will stretch the City boss’s resources to the limit as he tries to pick up his team after two successive league defeats.
Although the management and players were bitterly disappointed after last week’s match, Jim insists that there were positives to take from the game and he hopes the players can carry this into tomorrow’s encounter against the Doonhamers who will be on the crest of a wave after their stunning victory against Rangers at Ibrox in the Ramsdens Cup quarter-final tie in midweek.
Queen of the South manager Allan Johnston has one or two players suffering from knocks picked up in that game but he fully expects everyone to be available for tomorrow.
