Jacko Says City Have Point to Prove

Brechin City striker Andy Jackson reckons that the players have a point to prove on Saturday when Stenhousemuir visit Glebe Park.
"We've lost to Stenny twice already this season and I think it's about time we got our own back," he said.
" The first game ended 4-0 in their favour but we really should have done better on our second visit to Ochilview."
" We managed to get a goal back after falling behind and we were certainly by far the better team in the second-half but two late goals gave them a victory which we felt was a bit harsh on us so we'll be going all out to turn the tables around this Saturday."
Looking back to Saturday's game, Jacko was delighted with his two goals and also made tribute to the impact new boss Ray McKinnon has had.
" I was really pleased to get back on the score-sheet on Saturday as I hadn't scored for a few games and hopefully I can score a few more in the games coming up."
" It was really important that we put an end to the bad run we'd been on and equally important to get the new boss off to a winning start."
" The boss impressed upon us the need to take our chances when they came along and to also defend an awful lot better than we had been doing and the message certainly got through on Saturday with three goals scored and a blank-sheet."
" He's certainly made a good impression. The training's been really good and really sharp and all the lads have enjoyed it and it was great that we took a lot of what had been said at training into Saturday's match which ended the poor run we had been on. Hopefully we can keep it going against Stenny this Saturday."
