St Mirren-Brechin City Preview - By John Hoey

Brechin City travel to St Mirren Park tomorrow on the back of a seven game unbeaten run, scoring 26 goals and conceding 8 since Ray McKinnon's appointment as manager. However, they face a very stern test tomorrow as they attempt to reach the last 16 of the Scottish Cup.

City go into the game with midfielder Alan Trouten rated as a major doubt by the manager while Jordan Lowdon will miss out.

St Mirren boss Danny Lennon will have to do without his skipper and influential midfielder Jim Goodwin who misses the game because of suspension.

Lennon said,

" It will be difficult against Brechin because Raymond McKinnon has got them playing really well. He's moved them four or five places up the league and they have got good players such as Garry Brady and Andy Jackson."

" Brechin will be up for this and if we don't treat them as we would and SPL team we'll just fuel their desire."

" We have had them watched three or four times, will go with a game plan and will hope to win."

Tomorrow's match will be handled by John McKendrick who hasn't refereed either a St Mirren or City game this season.
