Pitch Update

There is obvious concern and worry about the current condition of the Glebe Park pitch and the loss of income from Saturday fixtures.

The Management Committee wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused as result of postponed fixtures.

The Committee and groundstaff have taking steps over the past weeks to try and improve the situation without much success to date. The committee has sought the advice of many parties including drainage and groundcare specialists, parks and roads departments, water board, local councillors and former Glebe Park groundstaff. A ground breaking tool has been used on the pitch and all internal drains have been checked to ensure free flow.

The ground staff and committee continue to nurse the pitch through this difficult period in the short term whilst seeking a more long term solution to the drainage issues. All options will be fully considered in our efforts to take the most responsible action in the Clubs best interest.
