Campbell's Selection Problems - By Keith Johnston

Brechin go in to Saturday's game against Ayr with pretty much a full squad to choose from. This will leave Dick Campbell with the sort of selection problems that any manager would enjoy.

Scott MacNicol is back in the reckoning after a few weeks out through injury. Paul Deas is back from his suspension and Scott McCulloch was impressive last week against Morton, in his first start of the season.

In attack, Graham Gibson, Chris Templeman, Steve Hampshire and Paul Ritchie are banging in the goals.

Brechin beat Forfar 3-2 in a closed-doors game midweek with Campbell taking the opportunity to try out a few things.

We shall see what side takes the field against Ayr tomorrow, but with the Honest Men just one point below City in the league, another fine match is in prospect. For them, Stewart Kean has been doing the goal-scoring lately with 6 goals so far this season. He is the man City will need to shut out in order to leave with a good result against a decent young side.
