Beau Ramsdens Superstar R/Up
- By
Brechin City FC
Congratulations to Brechin City midfielder Beau Longbridge who represented the Club in the Ramsdens Superstars Challenge.
Beau finished a credible runner up to Airdrie's Ricki Lamie by competing in a range of gym disciplines including skipping, cycling, sprinting, rowing and football skills to earn 2nd place amongst players from all SFL Clubs. Former City player David Crawford now with Albion Rovers came joint third.
Charlie Milarvie of Maximise Sports who helped organise the event for Ramsdens said:
'Beau is a really excellent young man and sportsman. His results were exceptional and my experiences of dealing with him were very positive. Beau, by finishing runner –up also won £500 for Brechin City. As an aside – I had the task of counting Beau during the skipping challenge. This he won by quite some margin – and it was all I could do to keep up with his average of over 3 skips per second!
