Brechin-Albion Rovers Preview - By John Hoey

Brechin City - Albion Rovers Match Preview

Brechin City play their last home league match of the current campaign (excluding play-off matches) when they entertain Albion Rovers at Glebe Park tomorrow night.

Albion's relegation from the Second Division was confirmed on Saturday when they were defeated by 4-1 by Alloa Athletic at Recereation Park but despite that huge disappointment they are sure to provide stern opposition for City.

It was just a week ago that they beat City by 3-1 at Cliftonhill and they proved on that occasion just how good a team they can be.

Manager Ray McKinnon looks set to rest some players for this match just as he did on Saturday when the team lost 2-1 against Stenhousemuir but given the small pool of players at the manager's disposal you can rest assured that City will still field a fairly strong line-up as they aim to finish their home league campaign with a victory.

There were no injuries to report from Saturdays's match so Ray has a full squad from which to select his team.

In the first meeting between the sides on 11th August, an Andy Jackson goal after quarter of an hour was the only goal of the game and in the return match at Cliftonhill on 20th November goals from Jackson again and Derek Carcary cancelled out Albion's opener and last week of course Albion triumphed with a 3-1 home victory.

The last ten results for each club are as follows :-

Brechin City - WLLWLLWLDL

Albion Rovers - LWLDWLLLWL

The Match Referee tomorrow night will be Crawford Allan who will be refereeing both clubs for the first time this season.
