BRECHIN CITY – EAST FIFE MATCH PREVIEW
Brechin City are looking forward to playing their first game at the Glebe in over three months when East Fife come calling tomorrow afternoon.
Manager Ray McKinnon has virtually a full-strength squad at his disposal with the exception of Ewan Moyes who remains on the injured list and Paul McLean who is automatically suspended after his red card at Ibrox last Saturday.
Despite the fact that City enter this game on the back of three straight defeats, there is a high degree of optimism within the camp. The fact that City have good players isn’t in any doubt and it’s just a matter of time before results and performance levels reach the standard that everyone knows the players are capable of.
The Fifers will include former City players, Michael Andrews, Jonathan Stewart and Ryan Stewart in their squad for the visit to Glebe Park. Like City, they are looking for their first win of the season after being defeated in the Challenge Cup by Forfar, the League Cup by Morton who ran out 6-2 winners after extra-time and in the League by Dunfermline who narrowly scraped home in last Saturday’s Fife derby by 1-0.
The Match Referee tomorrow will be John McKendrick
