Ayr United - Brechin City Match Preview

Brechin City make the long trip south west to Ayr tomorrow hoping to record a win against the Honest Men who have yet to be defeated in League One.

Of the five games played, Mark Robert's team have recorded two victories, both of which came against Angus clubs. In the opening day of the league campaign they defeated Arbroath by 3-0 at Gayfield, and followed this up with a 2-0 home victory over Forfar Athletic. Since then, Ayr have drawn against Stranraer, Airdrie and Stenhousemuir.

City sit just two points behind Ayr in the Scottish League One table, and victory tomorrow would see them leapfrog their opponents.

Manager Ray McKinnon will welcome back midfielder Stuart Anderson into the squad for tomorrow's game after a sickness bug ruled the influential play-maker out of the Dunfermline game, and defender Ewan Moyes is also available for selection. Midfielder Derek Carcary remains sidelined however.

Ayr boss Mark Roberts will be without suspended duo Alan Forrest and Gordon Pope.

The match will be handled by Don Robertson.
