Rangers Ticket Competition
- By
Brechin City FC
City supporters have a unique opportunity to be lucky recipients of 2 free gate entry tickets to the upcoming SPFL match against Rangers through yet another promotion from The Club’s Management Committee.
The Club confirmed today that 2 ‘Brechin-end’ tickets will be given away in a free prize draw. All that supporters require to do is be part of the following on Brechin City’s official Facebook site, as the draw will be made out of those who follow the club via this social media platform. A club spokesman said, “The Management Committee is keen to see a higher number of likes on the official Facebook site. Given the size of the town, and comparisons to other SPFL clubs’ Facebook sites, we have ambitions of raising the number of ‘likes’ from the current 750 level to over 1000, and hopefully we can make progress on this throughout the season. This competition, and the attractive prize of free gate entry for 2 at such a high profile occasion for The Club and the town, will hopefully encourage existing fans to spread the word.”
All that’s required to be in with a chance of winning 2 tickets in the prize draw, is for Facebook users to ‘like’ The Club’s official site via www.facebook.com/brechincityfc . Selection of the winner will take place on Monday 16th October from every Facebook user who lists this site as a ‘like’ – that includes existing users as well as those who do so between now and the draw date.
The Management Committee have also confirmed ticket sale arrangements for Rangers visit. Tickets are available for sale to the general public tonight (Wednesday) and next Wednesday (16th October) from 7.00pm and 8.30pm by visiting Glebe Park. Tickets have already been made available for priority purchase to Season Ticket holders, and will be again next Monday, (14th October) – again from Glebe Park, from 7.00pm to 8.30pm.
This match will see what will now be widely recognised as routine segregation in place, with City fans entering Glebe Park on matchday only via the Cemetery end turnstiles. The Club also stresses that Rangers end tickets will only be available through Rangers FC, and that any supporters wearing Rangers colours will not gain entry via the Cemetery End on match day, and will be subject to ejection if subsequently identified within the terracing allocated to City supporters. The Management Committee has also invited any disabled City supporters, with enquiries around how they are impacted by access arrangements from the Cemetery end, to contact The Club Secretary to discuss this, ideally via e-mail to secretary@brechincityfc.com .
Prices for City Supporters are confirmed as £15 for adults and £8 for concessions, with supporters allocated the Cemetery End covered enclosure. The value of a Season Ticket is once again underlined, as Season Tickets are confirmed as being valid for this match. There are also a limited number of seats available for Season Ticket holders within the Main Stand. Season ticket holders who wish to reserve one – free of charge – will require to come to The Club at the time when tickets are for sale. In doing so, their season ticket will be exchanged for a specifically numbered Main Stand seat ticket for the match itself – and their Season Ticket will be swapped back at the next home game. Hospitality guests will be contacted by The Club specifically about arrangements which effect them – and the advice to supporters in general is to arrive at Glebe Park well in advance of kick-off time.
The Club spokesman continued, “It may seem that some of the finer points around ticket arrangements appear slightly cumbersome. However, these demands are put upon The Club in conjunction with football and wider authorities, and we put the safety of all supporters at the heart of what we do. Also we unashamedly favour our season ticket holders first in terms of priority purchase arrangements.”
The statement continued, “The Management Committee is already well served with supporters coming forward to volunteer for matchday duties, and this is something appreciated by The Club. Equally, anyone else willing to help out on the day is encouraged to contact any member of The Club’s Management Committee.”
