Brechin City - Ayr United Match Preview
Both Brechin City and opponents Ayr United will be looking to bounce right back from disappointing defeats when they meet at Glebe Park tomorrow.
City didn't play to anything like the standard they're capable of at Station Park last Saturday, going down to a 2-0 defeat while the Honest Men lost by 6-3 against Stranraer in an incredible game at Somerset Park on Tuesday night.
The sides have met only once this season and that was way back on 21st September at Somerset Park, when they shared the points in a 2-2 draw.
The hosts scored twice through Michael Moffat and Michael McGowan within the last couple of minutes in the first-half, leaving City a mountain to climb after the break but City rolled their sleeves in the second-half and an Alan Trouten goal after 68 minutes reduced the deficit with Paul McLean scoring a deserved equaliser right at the death.
Midfielder Allan Walker resumed training this week and returns to the squad and everyone else is fit which means that manager Ray McKinnon has a full squad from which to select his starting eleven while Ayr manager Mark Roberts welcomes back centre-back Kyle McAusland who returns after suspension. The Ayr boss also looks set to play former Rangers, Clyde and Queen of the South midfielder Brian Gilmour from the start after he came on as a sub against Stranraer earlier in the week.
The Match Referee tomorrow is Alan Muir. The Match Sponsor is Delsons while Ian Jardine will be sponsoring the Match Ball.
