Brechin City-East Fife Preview - By John Hoey

Brechin City - East Fife Match Preview

Brechin City have the opportunity to narrowness the points gap with fourth placed Stranraer to just four points if they can manage to overcome East Fife at Glebe Park tomorrow. A home victory would also see City extend the points differential over Stenhousemuir to four points but there is no doubt they'll have to work hard to achieve a victory against a side who have still to defeat City this season.

In the first game between the sides way back on 17th August, second-half goals from Alan Trouten and Ryan Donnelly clinched the points while City produced one of their best performances of the season at Bayview in late December when goals from Andy Jackson, Bobby Barr and Derek Carcary wrapped up victory with ex City striker Ryan Stewart scoring a consolation goal for Gary Naysmith's men.

City will go into the match without suspended midfield duo Craig Molloy and Darren Petrie while Alan Trouten remains side-lined through injury. It was hoped that fellow midfielder Greg Cameron would be fit enough to rejoin the squad for tomorrow's match, but Greg who has had a nightmare season with injury sustained a knock in training on Tuesday night and he will also unfortunately miss out.

The Match referee will be Crawford Allan who refereed the 1-1 draw between City and Stranraer on 28th September.

Tomorrow's Match And Ball Sponsor is Blacks of Brechin and the Match Mascot is Rory Black.
