Brechin City’s Management Committee has announced that City supporters can, for the first time, enjoy live UEFA Champions League TV coverage at Glebe Park.

This coming Saturday evening sees the eagerly anticipated Champions League Final clash between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid – the first time this competition has culminated in a final with two clubs from the same city (same country, yes – four times in fact – but never the same city).

Brechin City’s 1983 Hospitality Lounge will be opened especially for Saturday evening, allowing fans to watch football – at the football!!

A spokesman for The Club confirmed, “The vast majority of times our Hospitality Lounge is in use is during Brechin City match-days, so we are keen to pilot a high profile match and get a sense of how an event like this appeals to the football-following public in the town.”

The format for the evening looks like this:

- 7.00pm: Lounge opens for pre-match drinks
- 7.45pm: Match Kicks Off
- 8.30pm: Half-time Pies (what else could it possibly be..?)
- 9.30pm: Match Finishes
- 10.30pm: Lounge Closure

Although no pre-booking is required, fans are encouraged to arrive promptly at 7.00pm, as there are limitations around the numbers the Lounge can cater for.
