Montrose Preview

City boss Ray McKinnon will be without three of his first- team squad for tomorrow's friendly fixture against Montrose at Glebe Park.
New signing Gary Fusco will miss this game because of work commitments while midfielder Craig Molloy is still on holiday. In addition, defender Gerry McLauchlan is rated as extremely doubtful after training for the first time last night, and he is still clearly some way off full match fitness.
The match will also give the manager a chance to cast his eye over a number of trialists who have been training with the club and it will provide another opportunity for the players to bring their fitness levels up to scratch in a competitive fixture and the fact that it's a local derby (albeit a friendly) will add a bit of spice to the occasion.
Montrose have made no new signings over the close-season and have only thirteen signed players at the present time. Their squad for tomorrow will be augmented by the addition of youngsters Kyle McLeod (17) and Declan Milne (16) who have both been called up from the club's Under 17 team along with a number of trialists.
City will be at home to Dundee in another friendly fixture on Wednesday July 15, but the City boss is still looking for a further game for next Saturday before the season proper gets underway a fortnight later with a visit to Central Park to face Cowdenbeath in the first round of the Petrofac Training Cup.
Supporters are reminded that tomorrow afternoon's game kicks off at 2.00pm.
