Gary Delighted To Be Back At City

Manager Ray McKinnon's signing of midfielder Gay Fusco at the beginning of last month has proved to be a very popular move with the City Supporters.
In his first spell at the club which spanned from 2007 until 2013, Gary was a firm favourite with the fans and it was a surprise to many when he was released at the end of the 2013 league campaign. However, the hard-tackling midfielder was more than happy to join up for the second time at the beginning of June and he's immensely looking forward to the campaign ahead.
" It was a wee bit of a surprise to be released a couple of years ago," said Gary, "but the manager fully explained that he wanted to bring in some new players for midfield and I was entirely comfortable with his explanation."
" I then spent a year at Forfar, which I enjoyed, but I was beginning to find that getting to training at Station Park was proving to be quite difficult. I work shifts and sometimes I couldn't get to training at all and some of the time I arrived late which wasn't ideal. I live and work in Edinburgh and travelling up to Forfar was beginning to be a bit of a burden."
" It wasn't therefore too much of a surprise when I was released at the end of last season but I'd heard through the grapevine that Ray McKinnon was keen to have me back and I was more than happy to sign up again when he got in touch with me."
" The fact that City train at Stirling University is also a bonus as it'll be so much easier for me to get to training on a regular basis."
" I must say that I'm really looking forward to the season ahead. City have a strong squad of players and the expectation levels will be high as we're one of the teams that people expect to reach the play-offs."
" There's no doubt that the league will be very tough and Dunfermline and Morton will start off very much as favourites being full-time. However, if City play to their capabilities then I've no doubt that we'll be there or thereabouts come the end of the season."
