Cowdenbeath - Brechin City Preview
Brechin City will travel to Cowdenbeath tomorrow for their first competitive game of the season against Jimmy Nicholl's Blue Brazil and the good news is that City boss Ray McKinnon will have a fully-fit squad from which to choose his team.
New signings Callum Tapping and Jamie McCormack will join the squad for the trip to Central Park and Ross Brash who played as a trialist against Dundee and who also took part in the closed door game against Alloa Athletic will also be included. Darren McCormack who pulled a hamstring against the Wasps has been receiving treatment over the course of the week but will be fit to play if selected.
The Blue Brazil lost strikers Kane Hemmings and Greg Stewart, who had scored thirty goals between them, to Barnsley and Dundee respectively at the tail end of last season but they will hope that Sean Higgins who joined the club from Stenhousemuir will notch more than his fair share of goals in the forthcoming campaign. Other new signings include ex Forfar skipper Ian Campbell and former Partick Thistle defender Darren Brownlie.
The match will be refereed by Gavin Duncan and admission prices are Adults - £14 and concessions - £7.
The Brechin City Supporters Club is running a bus to the game which will be leaving St Ninians Square at 11.30am. There are still some seats available and anyone interested should contact Steven Stewart on - 07547 552209.
For supporters travelling by car, the post code for satellite navigation systems is - KY4 9QQ with a small car park at the ground and adequate parking facilities in surrounding streets.
