Forfar Athletic - Brechin City Match Preview
Brechin City make the short journey to Station Park tomorrow to face near neighbours Forfar Athletic in what promises to be an intriguing derby match.
City are still smarting from their first defeat of the season at the hands of Ayr United last Saturday while the Loons were disappointed to come away with only a share of the spoils at Forthbank after leading Stirling Albion by 2-0. Both teams will therefore feel they have something to prove and if both play to their potential, then the supporters, whatever their allegiances, look set to be in for a treat.
City manager Ray McKinnnon will still be without midfielder Callum Tapping who had to sit out last Saturday's match through injury while Greg Cameron is suspended following his ordering-off against the Honest Men.
Forfar manager Dick Campbell welcomes both Martyn Fotheringham and Chris Templeman back to his squad although Michael Dunlop, Aaron James and Andrew Steeeves are still unavailable.
The man in the middle tomorrow is Kevin Graham.
Mr Graham will be officiating at his first City match this season although he officiated at three City games last season, the defeats at Stranraer and Arbroath and also the 1-1 draw against tomorrow's opponents at Station Park in March.
During the course of those three games he issued no fewer than 13 yellow cards.
City and Forfar have met on league duty on 139 occasions with the overall results as follows :-
Brechin City - 49 wins
Forfar Athletic - 55 wins
Draws - 35
Admission Prices at Station Park are - Ground - £12, Concessions - £6
Forfar Athletic's new 1984 lounge will be available to supporters of both teams from 12.30pm until kick-off and also immediately after the game.
