Brechin - Stirling Match Preview - By John Hoey

Brechin City v Stirling Albion Match Preview

Brechin City manager Ray McKinnon will be hoping that his side can make it three wins on the trot when Stirling Albion come calling at Glebe Park in a rearranged League One fixture tomorrow night.

City have been impressive in both of their last two games, defeating Ayr United at Somerset Park by 2-0 a couple of weeks ago and following this up with an excellent 2-1 victory over Stenhousemuir at Ochilview in the third round of the Scottish Cup a week later.

Victory over the Binos tomorrow night would see City leapfrog Ayr United into fifth place in the table, just four points behind leaders Forfar Athletic who visit the Glebe on Saturday so there is every incentive for the players to continue their recent run of good form.

New Stirling boss Stuart McLaren got off to the perfect start with that epic penalty shoot-out victory over Hurlford in the Scottish Cup third round replay at Forthbank on Saturday his team finally edging out the plucky amateurs after an amazing 13-12 penalty drama and they now go forward to face Raith Rovers at Starks Park in the next round. That victory will undoubtedly have given Stirling a huge lift and they will be eager to impress their new boss in tomorrow night's encounter. However, the City supporters will be hoping that their side can reproduce the form they showed in the previous match this season between the sides, at Forthbank on 13th September when City romped home by 5-0, their biggest victory of the season ,with Alan Trouten (2), Andy Jackson (2) and Bobby Barr on the score-sheet that day.

The match will be refereed by Mat Northcroft who will be handling his first City game of the season.

Match Sponsor tomorrow night is Ian Jardine.
