Brechin - Dunfermline Match Preview - By John Hoey

Brechin City - Dunfermline Athletic Match Preview

Brechin City will enter tomorrow's match against Dunfermline Athletic on the back of a ten-game unbeaten run.

Manager Ray McKinnon has a full squad at his disposal (Callum Tapping excepted) and the manager has the happy problem of deciding whether or not to field the side that won 2-0 at Stenhousuemuir on Saturday past or make one or two changes. The players are in fine fettle after a their normal two training sessions this week, Christmas Day's session being replaced by a stint today.

Victory for City tomorrow would see them leapfrog the Pars into fourth place in the table and that would set the team up really well for next Saturday's eagerly anticipated derby clash against Forfar Athletic at Station Park.

New Dunfermline boss John Potter will have been disappointed to see his side lose to new league leaders Stranraer in his first game in charge, and he will certainly be expecting his players to show a reaction to that defeat tomorrow afternoon.

The sides have met only once this season, the 0-0 draw at East End Park in the opening league match of the current campaign. Manager Ray McKinnon's tactics in that match worked to perfection and no doubt the City boss will have been working hard with his coaching staff and the players this week in order to spring one or two 'tactical' surprises on the opposition.

The referee for tomorrow afternoon's fixture is Ayrshire based Greg Aitken who will be handling his second City game of the season, the first match being the 4-0 defeat from Airdrieonians at Excelsior Stadium on
