Stranraer - Brechin City Match Preview - By John Hoey

Brechin City - Stranraer Match Preview

Brechin City will embark on the long journey south west to Stranraer tomorrow morning hoping to pick up their first league points of the season.

Manager Darren Dods will be boosted by the return of injured duo Ross Perry and David Weatherston, both of whom have been absent for the last couple of weeks. There were no further injury problems to report after the defeat at Albion Rovers last weekend so excepting Paul McLean and Dene Shields who remain on the long-term injury list, the manager will have a full squad from which to choose his starting eleven.

Stranraer began their league campaign with an excellent 2-1 victory at Cowdenbeath but since that time the Blues have gone down to three successive league defeats against Peterhead (Home), Ayr (Home) and Dunfermline Athletic (Away)

Brian Reid's team presently sit in eighth place in the Ladbrokes League One table, three points ahead of City so an away victory tomorrow would see City level on points with Stranraer and give the players a massive boost before next week's home derby against Forfar Athletic.

Tomorrow's referee will be Alan Newlands

The Brechin City Supporters Club will be running a bus to the game which will depart from St Ninians Square at 9.15am. Please contact Steven Stewart on 07547 552209 if you wish to book a seat.

Admission Prices at Stair Park are :-

Adults - £13
Senior Citizens - £7
Under 16's - £5

According to the Scottish Football Ground Guide, Stair Park is a short five minute walk away from the town centre where there are various restaurants and pubs for fans wishing to avail themselves of a pre-match refreshment.
