Isaac's Determined To Make An Impression At The Glebe - By John Hoey

Isaac Layne has certainly made a big impression at Glebe Park since signing for the club from Alloa on an emergency loan transfer just over a week ago.

In his first match against Forfar, the 20 year old south Londoner laid on City's winning goal in a hugely impressive debut and he kept the good work going on Saturday when he scored the equaliser against league leaders Ayr in his debut match at the Glebe.

Isaac is delighted to be at Glebe Park and very pleased that he has the opportunity to play first-team football.

"It's great to be playing first team football as I haven't really been involved with the first team that much at Alloa," he said.

" I'm determined to give it my all while I'm here and try to make a good impression.

" I scored quite a few goals for the development squad at Recreation Park but Danny Lennon the manager thought I'd get good experience and the opportunity to play in the first team coming to Brechin and I'm really pleased to be here.

" I played against City in the play-offs last season and it doesn't make sense to me that the club are in the position they're in as we have some really good players. We've just played against the league leaders and I really felt that we should have come away with all three points so as far as I'm concerned, it's onwards and upwards for Brechin."

" I scored four goals for Alloa in a development game against Cowdenbeath very recently and Danny Lennon told me that he'd had a few enquiries from clubs who were after me. When he told me that he was sending me to Brechin I was really up for it. Colin Hamilton who played for City last season told me that it was a really good club and that I would enjoy my time here. As far as I'm concerned playing regular first team football is what it's all about and while I'm here I'm determined to do my best for the club and score a few more goals.
