Brechin City - Albion Rovers Match Preview
Brechin City will be hoping to make it four wins on the trot when Albion Rovers come calling at Glebe Park tomorrow.
Although City are still bottom of the table they have drawn level on points with Forfar Athletic and are just two points behind Cowdenbeath and with seven games still left in the campaign there is clearly all to play for with survival hopes considerably brighter than they were just a couple of weeks ago. It would certainly be terrific if the players could pick up their fourth win in a row against a side they have yet to take any points from hitherto. Darren Young's men have won all three of the previous three meetings between the sides, the latest win just three weeks back at Cliftonhill when they ran out comfortable 4-1 winners. However, if City can show the same levels of commitment and application that have been much in evidence over the last three games, they will give themselves a real chance of picking up full points.
As far as team news is concerned, manager Darren Dods will welcome back Liam Watt who missed out last week at Airdrie but Darren McCormack and David Weatherston both remain sidelined through injury with everyone else fit and raring to go.
The Match Referee will be David Lowe who has been in charge of only one City match this season, the 2-2 draw with Stenhousemuir at Ochilview on 3rd October.
The match has been sponsored by well known and long standing City supporter 'Beefy' Stewart and we hope that he and his party of guests thoroughly enjoy their day as Boardroom guests.
The match ball has been kindly sponsored by regular sponsors J&R Milne.
The 1983 Hospitality Lounge is fully booked for this match but please contact The Club through the usual channels if you fancy making a day of it at any of the remaining home fixtures.
