Dunfermline Athletic - Brechin City Match Preview - By John Hoey

Dunfermline Athletic - Brechin City Match Preview

Brechin City will head into the Kingdom of Fife tomorrow to face league leaders Dunfermline Athletic with the playing squad in good heart following four successive victories. The Pars, particularly on their own patch are always a daunting prospect but the City players will approach the game with the same gritty determination that has seen them net twelve vital league points from their last four matches and there's no doubt that the players will give their all to try and take something from a match which most pundits predict will be a home banker, something the City players will be trying their best to disprove.

Manager Darren Dods will include new loan signing from Dundee United Jamie Robson in his squad which will be minus midfielder Lewis Spence who will not be allowed to face his parent club. Midfielder Craig Johnston is fit again after missing the Albion Rovers match while Darren McCormack and David Weatherston's prospects are rated at no more than 50/50.

The sides have met on three occasions this season with the Fifers coming out on top each time. Having said that, City hadn't taken any points off Airdrie and Albion Rovers prior to defeating them both within the last fortnight so the City supporters will be hoping that the team can make it a 'hat-trick' come 4.45pm tomorrow afternoon.

The referee will be Steven Kirkland who has handled just one City game this season, the 1-0 defeat from Albion Rovers in October of last year.

Admission Prices at East End Park are :-

Adults - £15
Concessions - £10
Under 12's - £5

City supporters should enter the ground via turnstiles 18 and 19

The Legends and Charlie D's Lounges at the club will be open to both sets of supporters prior to kick-off.

The Brechin City Supporters Club will be running a bus to the match which will depart from St Ninians Square at 11.00am. Please contact William on 07925227826 if you wish to travel through to the match.
