Cowdenbeath - Brechin City Match Preview - By John Hoey

Cowdenbeath - Brechin City Match Preview.

Brechin City will be hoping to make it six wins from seven matches when they head into Fife tomorrow for the 'crunch' match with Cowdenbeath at Central Park..

With only three games remaining after tomorrow's match both teams will see this game as a 'must win' encounter. If the Blue Brazil prevail then they will extend their points lead over City to five and with just three matches left, that would be a very difficult gap for City to overcome but victory for the visitors would see them leapfrog the Fifers by one point which could be hugely significant in the final run-in.

Both sides will enter the match on a good run of form with City having taken 15 out of a possible 18 points over the course of the last six weeks while the Fifers have had two massive results in the last fortnight with wins over play-off contenders Peterhead and Ayr United.

In terms of head to head results between the sides this season City won the first encounter at Glebe Park by 2-0 with the Fifers repaying the compliment with a comfortable 3-0 victory at Central Park while the most recent encounter at Glebe Park in February saw the teams share four goals.

As far as team news is concerned, City boss Darren Dods will welcome back Willie Dyer, Darren McCormack and David Weatherston to his squad but Jonathan Tiffoney will miss out following his two yellow cards in last week's match against Stenhousemuir while the manager himself remains on the injury list.

The referee will be Barry Cook who will be handling his fourth City match of the season.
