Brechin City - Peterhead Match Preview - By John Hoey

Brechin City - Peterhead Match Preview

Brechin City manager Darren Dods will have a fully fit squad at his disposal for tomorrow's vital match against Peterhead at Glebe Park with Darren himself back to full fitness after missing the last two games while Jonathan Tiffoney returns to the squad after missing last Saturday's match at Cowdenbeath through suspension.

There's no doubt that the players will put the bitter disappointment of last week's defeat at Central Park firmly behind them as they set about trying to take full points from a Blue Toon team who will also be anxious to get back to winning ways following their 4-0 loss in last Sunday's Petrofac Cup final against Rangers at Hampden.

The home support will be hoping that the team can replicate the form they showed last week against the Blue Brazil particularly the performance levels they achieved in the opening 45 minutes of that game when they were so dominant and here's hoping that they'll get that 'wee rub of the green' in front of goal which was so conspicuous by its absence last Saturday.

Tomorrow's referee will be the experienced John McKendrick who has refereed only one City game this season, the opening day league defeat from champions Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday 8th August.

The match will be sponsored by long standing supporters of The Club and current coach travel provider Blacks of Brechin - and we hope that Bobby and his party thoroughly enjoy their day as Boardroom guests.

The match ball has been kindly sponsored by regular Sponsor and former Management Committee man, Ian Jardine.

A limited number of spaces are available in The 1983 Lounge so please contact The Club through the usual channels if you fancy making a day of it in Hospitality, although supporters should be aware that The Lounge is fully booked for the next home game against Stranraer on Saturday 23rd April.
