Falkirk - Brechin City Match Preview
Brechin City will head to Falkirk Stadium tomorrow still in with an outside chance of qualifying for the latter stages of the Betfred Cup.
After Tuesday night's exertions against St Johnstone, the players are in good heart and they will definitely feel that if they can maintain the work-rate and commitment which was so apparent against Saints, they will be in with a chance of causing an upset.
Falkirk have had a mixed bag of results in the tournament so far with an opening day defeat at Stirling Albion redressed by a 3-0 home victory over Elgin City which was followed up with a 3-0 away defeat at St Johnstone. However, the Bairns along with City, Stirling and St Johnstone can still qualify for the latter stages of the competition and consequently, both sides have a huge incentive to come away with three points tomorrow and hope that result at McDiarmid Park goes their way.
City boss Darren Dods will welcome back Euan Smith into his squad after the former Hibs and Kilmarnock midfielder sat out Tuesday night's match because of suspension and with everyone else coming through that match unscathed, the manager will virtually have a full squad at his disposal, Paul McLean being the exception.
The referee for tomorrow's match will be Steven McLean.
Admission Prices at Falkirk Stadium are :-
Adults - £12
Concessions - £8 (Over 65's, Under 18's, Full-Time Students)
Under 12's - FREE
Brechin City supporters will be accommodated in the Main Stand.
The Supporters Club are running a bus tomorrow which will depart from St Ninian's Square at 10.30am and William (07925227826) is the man to contact if you wish to book a seat.
