Brechin City - Cove Rangers Match Preview

Brechin City will be aiming to continue their excellent start to the season by progressing to the next round of the Irn Bru Cup against Highland League side Cove Rangers at Glebe Park tomorrow night.

Brechin City supporters are reminded that Season Tickets are not valid for this cup-tie but Clubs have agreed a hugely reduced gate entry price of £8 for Adults and £4 for concessions.

Manager Darren Dods has a full squad from which to choose his starting line-up with the exception of Alan Trouten who is suspended for this tie. Both Paul McLean and Gary Fusco who came on as second-half substitutes on Saturday past against Albion Rovers suffered no reaction and both will come into contention as will centre-back Darren McCormack who has recovered from the calf injury he sustained against Falkirk in the Betfred Cup.

Cove Rangers, managed by former Montrose boss John Sheran and who also have former City players Mitch Megginson and Kevin Buchan in their ranks have made an excellent start to their season winning their first two Highland League matches with a 3-2 away victory at Inverurie Locos a fortnight ago followed up with a 2-1 home win against Brora Rangers on Saturday past, so like City, they will be looking to make it a hat-trick of wins tomorrow night.

The referee tomorrow night will be Gavin Ross.

The 1983 Hospitality Lounge will be open to both sets of supporters before and after the match with free admission to the pay bar.
