Brechin City - Dunfermline Athletic Match Preview.
Brechin City will get a break from League One duties when Dunfermline Athletic visit Glebe Park tomorrow in the third round of the Irn Bru Cup.
City reached this stage of the competition courtesy of their 4-1 home victory over Cove Rangers but they will face a very stern test against the Pars who bolstered their squad on transfer deadline day with the signings of former Rangers striker Nicky Clark and former Celtic midfielder John Herron on loan from Blackpool.
City have started their league season really well and are unbeaten after four games, collecting full points against Stenhousemuir, Albion Rovers and East Fife as well as sharing the spoils with Queens Park in a 0-0 draw at the Glebe.
Allan Johnston's men who moved up to the Championship after winning last season's League One title started off the new campaign with a 4-3 home victory over Dumbarton but since then have gone down to three consecutive defeats from Hibernian, Raith Rovers and Queen of the South.
As far as City team news is concerned, midfielder Alan Trouten remains sidelined while full-back Chris O'Neil's chances are rated at 50-50 with Paul McLean the likely replacement should Chris fail to make it.
The referee for tomorrow's match is the experienced Crawford Allan and City supporters are reminded that Season Tickets will not be valid for the match with admission prices being set at :-
