Brechin City - Alloa Athletic Match Preview
After a two week absence from competitive action, league leaders Brechin City will be very much looking forward to the visit of Alloa Athletic to Glebe Park tomorrow afternoon.
The Wasps appointed player Jim Goodwin to the managerial hot seat at Indodrill Stadium earlier on in the week and there's no doubt that the Alloa players will be looking to put on a good performance in front of their new boss continuing from where they left off last Saturday in previous manager Jack Ross's last match in charge with a 4-2 victory over Welsh side Bala Town, a result which takes the Clackmannanshire side into the last eight of the Irn Bru Cup.
City, who sit three points in front of tomorrow's opponents will be looking to extend that points gap to six come 4.45pm and they'll take a lot of confidence from their most recent performance which saw them go back to the top of the table for the second time this season with victory down at Stranraer a fortnight ago.
The players have been kept busy this week with the usual training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday nights interspersed with a bounce game against Cowdenbeath on Wednesday evening with all of the fringe players taking part. As far as team news is concerned, Chris O'Neil remains sidelined for tomorrow's match but everyone else is fit.
