Brechin City - Albion Rovers Match Preview

Brechin City will be determined to bounce back from the disappointment of last week's defeat at Airdrie when Albion Rovers come calling at Glebe Park tomorrow but manager Darren Dods has a mounting injury crisis to contend with as he prepares his side for the match. Definitely ruled out are Chris O'Neil, Darren McCormack and Andy Jackson while skipper Paul McLean will be serving the first of a two-match suspension following his red card at Excelsior Stadium and to add to Darren's woes, Alan Trouten and Finn Graham are both struggling to be fit in time. The manager has been working hard to strengthen the squad this week, and was rewarded on Friday afternoon with Hearts agreeing to loan 20-year-old striker Robbie Buchanan to City up until Christmas, giving clearance too for him to be available for selection for next weekend's Scottish Cup Tie v Ayr United.

Despite the side's injury concerns, Darren is confident that the players who come into the side tomorrow will give a good account of themselves and it provides them with a platform to show their capabilities and stake a claim for a regular place in the side.

City will take heart from the only previous meeting between the teams at Cliftonhill in mid August when goals from Alan Trouten (penalty) and Andy Jackson either side of half-time netted them three points in what was a thoroughly merited victory but Rovers will come to Glebe Park on a high after winning a five-goal thriller against Stranraer last Saturday and they will be aiming to reduce the points deficit against City to just four while conversely, City can stretch the points difference to 10 if they prevail come 4.45pm.
