Albion Rovers - Brechin City Match Preview

Brechin City will travel through to Coatbridge tomorrow hoping to bounce back from Monday afternoon's 1-0 defeat from Peterhead.

The team's injury problems show no signs of abating and in addition centre-back Dougie Hill who has been in outstanding form this season is suspended for this match. Chris O'Neil, Darren McCormack, Euan Smith, James Dale and Andy Jackson remain on the sidelines but Finn Graham and Ally Love who played against the Blue Toon despite suffering from heavy colds are both rated fit enough to play.

Manager Darren Dod's options are obviously severely curtailed because of the injury situation but whatever side takes the field tomorrow, the supporters can be assured that the players will give their all and fight hard to come away with a victory.

The sides only crossed swords as recently as 6th December in a rearranged league match at Glebe Park when two goals from Ross Stewart wrapped up the points for Darren Young's men with Willie Dyer haven given City an early lead but it was City who triumphed in the first meeting between the sides on 13th August when an Alan Trouten penalty and a further goal from Andy Jackson netted victory for the visitors.

Rovers presently sit in seventh position in the table seven points behind City and they will be looking to make it two victories in a row after a brace from Steven Boyd brought them victory against second placed Airdrieonians at Excelsior Stadium on Monday.
