“I’m disappointed, and that’s an understatement. There was nothing in the game in the first half; I think we actually deserved to be ahead when we were 1-0 down. We missed a few chances and there wasn’t much in it. Of course we lost a goal one minute into the second half and then we capitulated, which is really disappointing for me and my players.

“The players have to take responsibility. That was a shocking performance in the second half.

“All credit to Airdrie, their movement was good but Christmas came early for them, we gave them three points on a plate. Sadly, we did not match them at all in the end.

“The goals came far too easy for Airdrie. Did you think after the first half that we would concede another goal? I didn’t anyway. We’ve got a wee bit of work to do.

“I’ve said it all along; I think the transfer window thing is a lot of nonsense. I have a good set of players but we have shown that we are not good enough in certain areas.
