Morton v Brechin City - Match Preview - By Steven Mew

City make the long trip to face Greenock Morton at Cappielow tomorrow knowing that anything less than a win will confirm relegation from the Championship.

Jim Duffy's side are still pushing for a promotion play-off spot and will be heavy favourites to officially send City back to League 1 next season. The aim for Darren Dods' side will of course be to get the win that has eluded them all season and to stave off relegation for another week.

LAST TIME OUT
Both sides played Dunfermline Athletic on their last outing - City suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat to the Pars midweek whilst Morton fared better, picking up a point in a 0-0 stalemate at East End Park last Saturday.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS
The Ton were narrow 1-0 winners against City at Glebe Park back in October thanks to a late Andy Murdoch strike. The return fixture at Cappielow in December was a lot more one sided as Jim Duffy's men ran out comfortable 4-1 winners with Isaac Layne on target for City that day. In the most recent meeting in January, City earned a creditable point in a 1-1 draw at the Glebe with on-loan Aberdeen striker Connor McLennan opening the scoring in that particular fixture.

TEAM NEWS
There is mixed news from the City camp this week as Darren Dods has confirmed that Andy Jackson and Craig Storie have been ruled out for the rest of the season. Defender Kostadin Gadzhalov's loan spell has also now formally ended having dislocated his shoulder last midweek against Dumbarton.

Skipper Paul McLean and Jordan Sinclair made substitute appearances midweek against Dunfermline and will be available for selection having missed out through injury in recent weeks. Euan Spark will also be available however he will miss the next game against Falkirk through suspension.
