BCFC Golf Day 2018

A blustery wind and cloudy skies welcomed the 22 teams and 88 players to Brechin Golf Course for Brechin City?s annual fundraising golf day.
The course was in first class condition, so despite the strong breeze, the scoring was remarkably good, with only three shots separating the top seven teams.
The day started on a convivial note with all the teams gathering just after midday for bacon rolls and the usual golf chat. A shotgun start at 1:45pm saw all the teams set off for four hours of the ups and downs that only a Texas Scramble can provide. After the rounds were completed, the company gathered back in the clubhouse for a delicious two course meal and the presentation of prizes.
Highlight of the day was a sensational hole in one from Elliot Wilson at the 259 yard, par 4, twelfth hole. Last years champions, AJ Gallacher, who finished with a score of 56.3, were pipped at the post this year by the Lawnmaster team of Elliot and Andy Wilson, Ron Mackie and Ross Dalgetty, who returned a total of 56.1.
Numerous individuals, too many to mention by name, ensured the day went without a hitch, and the club would like to thank all of those who contributed to a fantastically successful day, both on and off the course.
